TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Poor People's Campaign has been rallying against poverty, racism and many other social issues for over 40 days in the Capital City.

For their final day, members from across the country met in the Florida Capital Building tackling systematic racism and even the comments made by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions regarding family separation issue this past week.

Members say it's all about making a difference.

"We have a government that doesn't even pretend to care about the poor, women, immigrants," said Micheal Panella, a member of the Poor People's Campaign. "We need a government where the people come first not corporations. The policy needs to reflect that."

The Poor People's Campaign also held a mock trial were members presented fake judges with demands which the judges denied.

The organization say the trial was a reflection of how are government responds to the needs of the people.
