TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Nearly 9 out of 10 Floridians support marijuana for medical use, according to a new poll.
The poll released by Quinnipiac University found 88 percent of Florida voters support allowing adults to use marijuana for medical purposes, if a doctor prescribes it. Every age group polled registered support of at least 80 percent.
The poll also showed that 53 percent of Floridians believe adults should be able to possess a small amount of marijuana for personal use. Quinnipiac University says the poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 percent.
