WASHINGTON, DC (WTXL) - Attorney General Eric Holder is expected to announce his plans to resign later Thursday, a Justice Department official told several media outlets.
ABC News is reporting that the same DOJ official said, "Attorney General Holder has discussed his plans personally with the president on multiple occasions in recent months, and finalized those plans in an hour-long conversation with the president at the White House residence over Labor Day weekend.
In a recent interview with ABC News, Holder hinted that the end was near.
"But I think by the time I get to the end of this year, that'll be a time for me to make a decision about whether I want to continue in my service as attorney general," he said in July.
