TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A new chapter in the Trump Administration begins Friday, with the swearing in of a new chief of staff.

Gen. John Kelly officially shifted over from his role as secretary of homeland security.

President Trump praised Kelly who will now be tasked with ending the chaos that has plagued the West Wing.

During a cabinet meeting today, the president said Kelly's work at DHS on border security and immigration was quote "nothing short of miraculous".

WTXL political contributor Dr. Ed Moore says though it is a tumultuous time to come over the White House Kelly's decades of experience as a Marine might come in handy.

"Certainly coming in at very tumultuous time within the white house where they all seem to be cannibalising each other," said Moore, "maybe that Marine influence he has can bring some order to chaos."
