Police: Suspect was "Firing Handgun Randomly" during Valdosta Shooting

VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - A man was arrested in connection to a Valdosta shooting, despite the fact that police say the shooting victims would not cooperate during the investigation.

According to the Valdosta Police Department, Anthony Johnson was arrested for reckless conduct and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for a May 2 shooting.

Police say two victims were shot on May 2 after a dispute at a local club. At the time, officers say the victims were "...not being forthcoming regarding the incident."

Despite the fact that police say the victims would not cooperate, Johnson was arrested. Police say he "...was firing a handgun randomly during the incident."

Johnson is being held in the Cook County Jail.
