Valdosta Ga. (WTXL)-- Police are trying to track down a man who attacked and robbed a woman in downtown Valdosta.
According to officers, the woman who works in the downtown area parked her car in the Lowndes County tag office parking lot and began walking to work at 6:15 in the morning yesterday.
She says that's when a man grabbed her, held her at knife point and demanded money.
According to reports, she handed over all of the money she had, and then the suspect sexually assaulted her before running away.
He is described as a black man, who is 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a slim build and wearing khaki pants, a gray sweatshirt, and a large coat.
Police say they are working overtime to find the suspect, and they are continuing to make safety improvements. The city is working to add more live cameras to the downtown area.
