VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - A man in Valdosta has been arrested after police say they discovered almost 10 pounds of marijuana was being delivered to his home.
Venderick Dawson, 29, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and first degree forgery, according to the Valdosta Police Department
Officers say they were given information that "a large amount of marijuana" would be delivered within the city and after an investigation found two packages delivered to a home in the 2400 block of Muscogee Drive.
Police say the marijuana weighed a total of 9.9 pounds and was valued at $88,000. Dawson was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail.
