SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Police in Savannah say they're frustrated at the lack of cooperation from witnesses after a surge of gun violence in the city.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police say there were nine shootings reported from Friday to Sunday night, and two of them were deadly.
Police Chief Joseph "Jack" Lumpkin said authorities are troubled by the number of recent shootings, as well as the fact that victims have been uncooperative with investigators. Police don't believe the shootings are related.
The Savannah Morning News reports (http://bit.ly/1zz7iLu) that the people killed were a 22-year-old man found dead in a car shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday; and a 25-year-old man shot Sunday evening at an apartment complex.
