TALLAHASSEE, FL -- A Tallahassee man already in jail for lewd and lascivious battery is now facing new child molestation charges.
Tallahassee police say they arrested 23-year old Richard Carter on June 30th after finding him naked, engaged in sex acts with a 15-year old boy.
The boy told police he and Carter initially met on the dating app ‘Grindr’ before meeting for sex in a park near the Piney Z subdivision around 4 a.m. on the 30th. Records show that after Carter’s arrest, investigators found child porn on his cell phone.
Carter now faces several charges including sex offenses against a child, lewd and lascivious battery and possession of child pornography.
Bond is set at $122, 500.
