VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Police said that they were called to a Dollar General in Valdosta after an employee was robbed at gunpoint while opening the store.
The Valdosta Police Department said that they were called to the store on Northside Drive around 6 a.m. Friday morning.
When they arrived, they spoke with the a store manager who told them he had been robbed at gunpoint.
The manager told police that while he was opening the store for the day, a black man wearing a mask and carrying a gun came up to him demanding money. He said that the suspect stole an unknown amount of money and left the area.
Police said that though they were unable to find the suspect after a search of the area, no injuries were reported.
Officers described the suspect as an black man, around 5'11 tall with a stocky build.
