TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee police say that there has been another attempted abduction.
According to the Tallahassee Police Department, officers were called to the 600 Block of West Lafayette Street at approximately 1:50 a.m. Monday after the victim reported the incident.
The female victim told police that a black male tried forcing her into a small 2-door truck but she was able to break free and run from the area.
Police are asking for help identifying the suspect who has been described by the victim as a black male in his early 20's, wearing a black hoodie/sweatshirt and jeans. The truck is also described as having an, "orange license plate with a peach on it."
The Violent Crimes Unit and Forensics Unit is looking into the case and police are asking anyone who many have more information to call 850-891-4200 or CrimeStoppers at 850-574-TIPS.
This is the second attempted abduction in the Tallahassee area in the last week.
On Wednesday, February 25, a female victim reported that a man in a car tried to grab her around 6 a.m. on the 400 block of Conradi Street.
This suspect was also described as a black male, in his mid 20’s, wearing a black hoodie/sweatshirt.
