LAGRANGE, Ga. (AP) - Police say a 2-year-old girl was shot by another child inside an apartment in west Georgia.
Police tell the LaGrange Daily News the shooting happened around 4 p.m. Monday. The newspaper reports the child has been airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. Her condition wasn't immediately available.
Police say there were three children and at least one adult in the apartment when the gun was fired.
Police were investigating the shooting but said it appeared to be an accident.
