Police identify pedestrian killed in Tallahassee car crash

 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Police have identified the 74-year-old woman who died after being hit by a car Tuesday night. 

TPD says that 74-year-old Teresa Karam was the pedestrian who died Tuesday night after a crash near the 400 block of Capital Circle Southeast.

The driver has been identified as 23-year-old Hannah Hodges. 

The investigation is still active.

TPD investigators are continuing to process evidence collected from the crash scene.

They are urging anyone who may have information about the crash to please contact them at (850) 891-4200 or via Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.


 Pedestrian killed in Tallahassee car crash, police investigating

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a fatal crash near the 400 block of Capital Circle Southeast.

A pedestrian was involved in the crash and emergency responders immediately provided medical attention to the pedestrian, who was transported to a local hospital.

Sadly, the pedestrian passed away from their injuries.

Traffic Homicide Investigators have been called to the scene and have assumed the investigation. All south bound lanes near the 400 block Capital Circle South East have been closed. 

Drivers are urged to avoid the area and take alternate routes. 

TPD is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the accident to please call (850) 891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit.

They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS. This is an active investigation and TPD will provide updates when they are available.
