SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Police have arrested a Georgia man in Suwannee County after he told them he beat a victim unconscious because he "had been trying him all night."

Jeffery Tworoger, 27, of Union Point, Ga. was arrested by the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office on Sept. 1.

On Sept. 1, at about 10:50 p.m., deputies responded to the 12600 block of 235th Road in response to someone being beaten unconscious.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found the victim, unconscious on the ground, with his face badly swollen and bleeding.

SCSO says the victim was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

Witnesses told deputies that Tworoger attacked the victim without provocation while he was in the process of leaving the home.

When deputies spoke to Tworoger, he admitted to beating the victim, because he "had been trying him all night."

Tworoger said the victim never said anything to him or tried to start a physical altercation with him, but Tworoger stated he just had a feeling the victim "was trying him."

Based on the evidence, Tworoger was taken to the Suwannee County Jail and is being charged with aggravated battery.
