CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Clearwater Police have found a 6-year-old boy who was asleep in his mother's rental car when it was stolen.
According to police, Elizabeth Rivera left her son Theron Fields asleep in the car while she went inside an apartment late Monday. When she returned outside, the car was gone, along with her son.
Authorities found the car a little over an hour later. Police say the car was found abandoned outside another apartment complex 2 miles away.
According to police, Theron was "sound asleep in the back seat of the locked car." The boy has been reunited with his mother.
