Police: Fight leads to child being burned by hot grease in Valdosta

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Two women in Valdosta are facing charges after their altercation led to a child being burned by hot cooking grease. 

WALB reports Latrice Spikes, 24, of Riverview, Florida, is being charged with reckless driving and aggravated assault, while Dominique Solo, 22, of Valdosta, is being charged with simple battery.  

According to WALB, the women got into an altercation at an intersection and that's when Spikes tried to run over Solo with her car.   

The police are reporting that Solo retaliated by trying to throw hot cooking grease on Spikes, but hit the child who was in the vehicle. 

Officials have not released the condition of the child at this time.
