TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--A child is recovering after police say he was accidentally shot in Tallahassee.
Police say it happened on the 400 block of Great Lakes Street. Around 8:30 Saturday morning Tallahassee Police officers say a five-year boy was shot in the abdomen by his seven year old relative at the home. Police say the two were playing with the gun when it went off.
Investigators say the gun was taken from the room of 22-year old Cedric Wallace. He's now charged with child neglect causing great bodily harm.
