VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) -  Valdosta Police have arrested a teen accused of breaking into a victim's home while the victim was still home.

The Valdosta Police Department has arrested Antoine Manigan, 18, for burglary, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and criminal trespassing.

On Tuesday, around 1 p.m., Valdosta police officers were called to the 2500 block of Muscogee Drive about a burglary in progress. 

When they arrived, officers found the victim holding a man on the ground.

The victim identified the subject as having just broken into his home The man, later identified as Manigan, was detained by police while police investigated.

The victim told police that while at home, his dog began barking and acting odd. He said that when he began to look around his home, he saw Manigan climbing out of his bedroom window to try to run away.

The victim told VPD that he grabbed the man and restrained him help arrived.

Evidence and statements from both the victim and the offender were collected by the responding officers.

The resulting investigation led to Manigan's arrest and he was transported to the Lowndes County Jail.
