Police Arrest Seven After Moultrie Community Center Shooting

MOULTRIE, GA (WTXL) - Moultrie Police have arrested seven other people in connection to a recent shooting at a community center there.

According to officers 24-year-old Alden Roberts Jr. and six minors were arrested Thursday. Police say a fight took place before shots were fired outside the Ryce Community Center on 7th Street. After the fight, officers say some of the juveniles were leaving the area when a 16-year-old drove by firing multiple gun shots.

Officials say, one of the bullets hit 33-year-old Fatisha Clark in the stomach. She was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

Three of the suspects were taken to the Colquitt County jail, while three juveniles were released to their parents. The 16-year-old who police say fired the shots will be tried as an adult. That teen is charged with felony murder.
