THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - Police have arrested a man accused of raping a member of his family, officials at the Thomas County Sheriff's Office say.
According to a police report, 47 year-old Horace Wesley Barber reportedly jumped on a woman walking on Madison Street by Ashley's Restaurant on Saturday around 1:00 a.m. The woman told police she tried to push him off, but he choked her. Police say he then raped her. That's when the woman says a streetlight came on and Barber recognized her and started apologizing because they were related.
She was able to identify Barber.
