MIAMI TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Miami Township police are investigating the death of a six-year-old girl, according to Assistant Chief Mike Mills.
Emergency crews responded to a home on Klondyke Road around 6:50 p.m. Monday.
Authorities were told that the child had taken some of her grandfather's medication and was "gravely ill," Mills said.
A medical helicopter transported the girl to Cincinnati Children's Medical Center where she later died.
Police are awaiting autopsy and toxicology results from the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.
