Pizza and Jazz to Celebrate Former City Manager

TALLAHASSEE, FL.(WTXL)-- The City of Tallahassee celebrated one of it's Former City Managers years of service Saturday with Pizza and Jazz.

Anna Favors Thompson was honored yesterday with Pizzazz in the Plaza. Thompson, a native of Kansas, and was hired by the city in 1990.

Thompson went on to serve as a City Manager from 1997 to 2015 and worked on a number of projects, including FAMU Way and Cascade Park.

The dedication to place under the South Bronough Street Overpass and included, live entertainment, poetry readings, and refreshments.

A commemorative plaque was unveiled in Thompson's honor recognizing her service to the community.
