TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - If you noticed some pink lemonade stands around the Capital City, don't worry you aren't alone.

It's the Tallahassee Democrat and the Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare's seventh year going pink. All of the proceeds directly benefit the Joanna Francis Living Well, a local non-profit that offers support groups and financial aid to cover living expenses for those enduring breast cancer.

Shannon Knowles, with the Democrat, says it is great seeing the community come together to raise funds for such a great cause.

"We're a community newspaper and so we want to be very involved with things very near and dear to everybody's hearts," said Knowles. "And almost anyone that you talk to that has somebody that has been affected by breast cancer and so it's a very worthy cause to get behind."

Knowles says if you missed your chance to get some lemonade, Island Wing Company will have some until midnight.
