THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - Thomasville officials are warning of a recent phone scam.

Neighbors say they've been getting calls from an 800 or non-local number claiming to be the utility provider and demanding immediate payment by telephone or an unfamiliar website.

City officials say they won't call you demanding money.

If you've gotten a similar call, contact Thomasville police.
