HAMILTON COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Troopers say that a crash occurred in Hamilton County when a driver blacked out and hit several fences, a tree and a front porch of a home.
A 60-year-old man from White Springs was traveling southbound on SE CR 137 when Florida Highway Patrol said he had a medical issue and blacked out.
After the collision, Shaw's pickup truck traveled across the northbound lane and hit a mailbox and some fences. According to troopers, the vehicle continued traveling through a year and into the front porch of a home at 9424 SE 157th Ave.
The vehicle finally came to a stop when it hit a tree in the yard.
Troopers say the victim was seriously injured. He was treated on scene by Hamilton County Emergency Services then flown to University of Florida's Shands Hospital for his injuries.
