CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. -- A near head on collision of two SUVs has placed four people in the hospital.
Around 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wakulla County Fire Rescue, Wakulla EMS, Wakulla County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Highway Patrol all responded to a near head on collision that entrapped both drivers. The accident happened on U.S. 319 / North of McCallister Road.
A jeep SUV was exiting the Lube-Experts parking lot on the east side of U.S. 319 and attempting to make a right turn. The other SUV was headed southbound and made an attempt to avoid hitting the jeep. The driver was unable to avoid the collision and struck the front left side of the jeep.
Hydraulic rescue tools were used to free both drivers of the vehicles.
All four people involved in the crash were taken to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Two are in serious condition, the other two are listed as critical.
