TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man has been arrested, accused of locking a child in a room and sexually assaulting the child.
Larry Bernard Robinson, 37, was arrested for sexual battery on a child after the victim became an adult and told a Leon County detective she was abused as a minor.
He is faceing seven charges for sexual misbehavior with a child.
The charges include falsely imprisoning a child and committing sexual battery, behaving lewdly with a victim under the age of 16, and showing obscene material to a minor.
On Monday, Robison remained in the Leon County Detention Center, where he was booked Friday. No bond amount was indicated in the booking report.
Robinson abused the victim, who was an underage child at the time, at various Leon County residences in 2013, 2014 and 2016, according to a complaint. He also once showed the victim a video of adults having sex.
Documents allege Robinson used threats to keep the child from reporting the abuse.
When investigators spoke with other family members, it was revealed that Robinson "had always been a drinker and also went through a phase where he was using Molly."
When a Leon County detective phoned Robinson on Jan. 11, 2018, Robinson said he was living out of the county but would come to the Sheriff's Office the next day, court documents show.
Robinson did not show up and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was found and arrested over the weekend.
