Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle off Gamble Street, Tallahassee

UPDATE, 5:00 PM: 

The victim in the accident on gamble street has been identified.

The man, Marcus Green Junior, a 19 year old, is currently in stable but critical condition at a local hospital, his father tells us. The male is a Godby High School graduate and is currently attending Tallahassee Community College.

According to reports, Green was leaving a block party on Gamble street near FAMU's Campus when shots were fired. While running away from the gun fire, Green was shot in the hand and hit by a car. 

Tallahassee Police do no believe he was the target of the gun fire and the hit and run appears to be accidental.

Tallahassee Police are continuing to investigate.

TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- Tallahassee Police are reporting a traffic crash off of Gamble Street around 2:00 a.m.

According to TPD, a pedestrian was hit off of Gamble street Sunday and was taken to a local hospital.

The Pedestrian was leaving a party at the time of the incident when gun shots were fired. Officers believe the shots were fired into the air. 

In the following panic a car struck the pedestrian who also suffered a gun shot wound to the hand. 

Tallahassee Police say the wound to the had was not serious and he is being treated for injuries suffered from the car crash.

Traffic Homicide and Forensic Units are investigating the scene. Updates will be made as they become available.
