VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--A pedestrian killed on I-75 in Valdosta has now been identified.
Georgia State Patrol troopers say Marcus Holmes was walking on the interstate when a UPS tractor trailer hit him. It happened around midnight, just north of exit 18. At this point, troopers say there is no indication that alcohol was involved in the crash.
Troopers say Holmes was originally from Cairo and was attending Valdosta State University. No charges have filed against the UPS truck driver.
