ALACHUA, Fla. (WTXL) - One person is dead in Alachua County after being hit by two cars.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a pedestrian, who has yet to be identified, was walking near the highway on U.S. 301 near SE 203rd street when they were hit by a car.
Troopers say the pedestrian was hit again by a second car on the shoulder of the road. They were declared dead on the scene.
Troopers say the pedestrian was a white male between 50-60 years old with graying hair.
Troopers believe that alcohol played no part in the incident.
There isn't any word on if the drivers will be charged. The investigation is still ongoing.
