BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) - A woman has been transported to the hospital after she was hit by a truck while attempting to cross Shotwell Street in Bainbridge.
Bainbridge Public Safety said that the crash happened on Friday after the woman tried to cross the road.
They said that it appeared that she was trying to cross outside of the crosswalk when she was hit by a truck going eastbound on Shotwell Street in front of a CVS Pharmacy.
Officers said that the woman was conscious but unable to move when they arrived on scene. There's no word on the woman's condition.
No identity has been released for the woman nor the driver who hit her. The road has been reopened.
