Pedestrian, driver identified in fatal traffic crash on Appleyard Drive

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department has identified the pedestrian and driver involved in the fatal crash on Appleyard Drive on Christmas Eve. 

The pedestrian who was killed has been identified as 54-year-old Carl Eichler and the driver has been identified as 31-year-old Quenton Williams. 

TPD said Williams was driving a 2009 Chrysler Sebring. 

This is still an active investigation and TPD investigators are continuing to process evidence collected from the crash scene. 

They are urging anyone who may have information about the crash to please contact them at (850) 891-4200 or via Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.


TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a traffic crash where a pedestrian was killed on Monday. 

TPD is currently investigating a traffic crash that took place near the 700 block of Appleyard Drive. Emergency responders immediately provided medical attention to the pedestrian, who was taken to a local hospital.  

TPD stated however, the pedestrian died from their injuries. 

Traffic Homicide Investigators have been called to the scene and have assumed the investigation. All north bound lanes near the 700 block of Appleyard Drive to West Tennessee Street have been closed.   

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes. 

TPD is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, but did not speak with an officer on scene, or anyone with information about the accident to please call (850) 891-4200 and ask to speak with the Traffic Homicide Unit.  

They may also remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
