BOSTON, GA (WTXL) - Officials with the Georgia State Patrol and the Thomas County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of a fatal accident Tuesday morning.
It happened on Hwy 84 near the Boston Gin Company.
The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that a Brooks County Sheriff's deputy hit a pedestrian with his patrol car while driving through Thomas County.
Details of the accident are limited, but officials did confirm that the pedestrian died as a result.
The identities of the deputy or the victim haven't been released at this time. There's also no word on the condition of the deputy.
Troopers are still at the scene of the crash.
