TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Traveling on Gaines Street in Tallahassee will be a hassle in the next few days.

Parts of Gaines Street in are closed as crews build a brand new Publix GreenWise Market.
But people will still be able to get around to businesses and other places along Gaines Street.
Until Sunday, Gaines Street will be reduced to one lane. Gaines eastbound between Railroad Avenue and Woodwards Avenue will be closed.
Next Monday until Thursday, July 5, that eastbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Friday, July 6, through Sunday, July 8, the entire street will be closed.
The new Publix is going up between Gay Street and Railroad Avenue.
Road closures will last until Sunday, July 8. Construction on the Publix will continue after that.
