Parks and beaches temporarily closed following Hurricane Michael

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Some parks, beaches, and boat ramps are temporarily closed in Wakulla County as a result of Hurricane Michael. 

Wakulla County said as a result of Hurricane Michael, the following parks and boats ramps are temporarily closed: 

  • Newport Park & Campground (Anticipated to re-open within a few weeks).
  • Woolley Park (Anticipated to re-open within a few weeks).
  • Mashes Sands (The beach will be re-open in approximately one month; the pier will be closed until further notice; and the boat ramp is currently open).
  • Shell Point – (The beach is closed until further notice; and the boat ramp is open; however, may not be accessible until Emergency Management opens the area back up).
