TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - April is Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month and with more than 700 people with Parkinson's Disease believed to be living in Tallahassee alone, awareness and outreach is crucial.
The Parkinson's Wellness Expo will include a walk around the lake with a warm-up lead by Sweat Therapy Fitness and a demonstration of their Rock Steady Boxing program.
Dan Washburn, a Tallahassee resident living with PD and a certified Rock Steady Boxing coach, will discuss his personal journey with PD and how others can fight back against their diagnosis.
The event is free for all, but fundraising is encouraged. All funds raised will to go the Tallahassee Parkinson's Outreach Association.
