Panhandle Man Accused Of Stalking Driver On I-10

MARIANNA, Fla. (AP) — A Panhandle man is accused of stalking a motorist on Interstate 10.

The Florida Highway Patrol says Troy Carlton Champion Jr. was arrested Thursday following an investigation into the Sept. 30 incident.

The News Herald of Panama City (http://bit.ly/Zi3TUr) reports the incident began that morning at mile marker 192 and continued for the next 50 miles. The motorist became frightened and alerted the highway patrol. The Tallahassee Regional Communication Center dispatched troopers to the area.

The investigation resulted in an aggravated stalking charge. Details about what led to the incident were not released.

It's not known whether Campion has hired a lawyer.
