JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A motorcyclist fleeing deputies was hospitalized with serious injuries after he lost control of his motorcycle and it ejected him.

Jonathon Richard Blair, 25, of Panama City was attempting to elude Jackson County sheriff's deputies Tuesday night, authorities said.

His motorcycle left U.S. Highway 231 and traveled onto the grass shoulder.

Blair was taken to Bay Medical Hospital, deputies said.

Deputies wrote in the news release that no alcohol was involved, and they did not offer a reason for Blair's attempting to flee from them.
