PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Honorable Judge Smoak sentenced Daniel Freiwald today to 97 months in prison for 3 counts of child exploitation offenses.

A spokesperson for United States Attorney Pamela C. Marsh says, "Between December 7, 2012, and January 23, 2013, Friewald, who was then an active duty Air Force member stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base, knowingly and intentionally possessed and received images and videos of child pornography, the majority of which depicted prepubescent children, including infants and toddlers".

Once he completes his prison sentence, Freiwald will also be required to serve a five-year term of supervised release.
