TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - At Florida State University, last year's graduation ceremony set attendance records, so for the first time, FSU held four ceremonies to accommodate the growing number of grads and their families.

More than 6,000 students got their degrees at the Spring Commencement Ceremonies Friday and Saturday.

Saturday, those who studied Engineering, Applied Studies, Nursing, and Social Science walked across the stage.

"It's exciting. I think I'm ready for it. You know, you spend 4 years here and you feel like they really condition you to be absolutely prepared to leave after 4 years. So, it's on to the next chapter," said Madeline Denaro, International Affairs Graduate.

Denaro says, graduating doesn't feel real to her yet, but everything she has learned at FSU will help her in the next stage of her life.

FSU President John Thrasher says, he loves celebrating this important milestone with graduates and their families.
