TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- Two local organizations teamed up Saturday to showcase some of the Tallahassee area's restaurants.
America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend and 850 In the Know's Taste of Tallahassee took place at Cascades Park and included 20 different restaurants. The restaurant showed off some of their signature dishes.
A portion of the proceeds were used to help feed the community. Organizers say the event is a great way to give back to those in need and local businesses at the same time. Curtis Blue, who helped to the coordinate the event, says, " You know football season is gone. Basketball is finished, so it gives people to come out in the community and enjoy our parks and recs that we have here, and you know had a good chance to eat some food."
The event also said to have featured chef demonstrations, a tethered hot air balloon ride, and a Kids Zone with a face painting station and bounce house.
