ATLANTA, Ga. (WTXL)-- Attorneys for a death row inmate in Georgia are challenging a new state law that prohibits the release of information on the manufacturer of the state's execution drug.
The Georgia Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the Warren Lee Hill case. Hill was sentenced to death after he was convicted of killing a fellow inmate. His attorneys say the law that classifies certain information about executions as a confidential state secret is unconstitutional. However, state Attorneys say it is necessary and that it discourages retaliation against those who take part in executions.
