TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Operations are back to normal, one day after Leon County deputies reported that cellular networks were experiencing problems calling land-lines including 911.
Deputies say, when callers dialed 911, it sounded like the call was not connected.
However, the call did go through notifying an operator of the incoming call.
Hours later deputies say the issue was resolved, and was external with a wireless telephone provider.
"We are communicating with the other communication providers and they were going through there systems to identify the problem which they did so their costumers can communicate with the 911 system without interruption," said Lt. Grady Jordan with the Leon County Sheriff's Office.
If the problem should happen again, deputies say to stay on the line and do not hang up.
