TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Although yesterday was Veterans Day, we're still celebrating the men and women who have fought for our country today.
And the celebration starts early Monday morning with Operation Thank You. WTXL ABC 27's Jada Williams was live Monday morning at the American Legion.
What is this early morning event doing for vets?
'Operation Thank You' is a free breakfast for veterans but its also a way to let them know the resources that are available in Leon County, and as the name suggests, a way to say thank you.
The county and American Legion have come together for Operation Thank You in years past.
Commissioners, county staff and vets will address the crowd.
There's also a commemorative pin for those who join.
The breakfast started at 6:30 a.m. Monday and continued until 9 a.m. at the American Legion on Lake Ella Drive.
