Open Forum Sessions Come to a Close in FSU Presidential Search

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -   This week Florida State University's presidential search advisory committee invited four candidates to meet with university stakeholders.    

The interviews began on Monday and will finish up today. The open forums included a staff forum session, faculty forum session, student forum, and campus/ community forum session. The most controversial candidate Senator John Thrasher started off the forums on monday.

Candidate G. Wheatley met with university stakeholders Tuesday. Micheal V. Martin was supposed to meet with stakeholders on Wednesday, but his interview had to be pushed to Thursday. Richard Marchase participated in open forums today.

Forum attendees will have an opportunity to provide candidate feedback via electronic survey. The survey must be filled out no later than Saturday, September 20th.

The search committee is scheduled to meet for the final time Monday, Sept. 22, to discuss and recommend three finalists. The trustees will interview each recommended finalist on Tuesday, Sept. 23, before meeting to discuss and select the next president of Florida State University.
