ORLANDO, FL (WWSB) - OneBlood is preparing to ship blood donations to the Las Vegas, where it is in need following a massacre at a county music concert.
Citing the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, the organization is calling on eligible blood donors to make donations a regular part of their lives.

Generally healthy people age 16 or older who weigh at least 110 pounds can donate blood.
According to the Red Cross, you must wait at least eight weeks (56 days) between donations of whole blood. Platelet donors may give every 7 days up to 24 times per year.
