MADISON COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - One woman has died and another is in serious condition after a deadly Madison County crash.
Florida Highway Patrol said that a car was traveling westbound on I-10 on Wednesday around 11:30 p.m.
They said that the driver, whose identity they have not released yet, was traveling on the inside lane going westbound, when she drifted into the median of the road.
Troopers said the driver jerked the steering wheel to the right, causing the car to travel across both lanes onto the shoulder of the road. They said the car spun causing the back of it to smash into a tree.
Margaret Alred, 66, was one of the passengers in the car and suffered serious injuries. Both women were taken to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
