BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a car hit a motorcycle in Bay County.

Florida Highway Patrol responded to an accident around 6:30 p.m. on May 4.

According to FHP, a car was stopped at the intersection of Front Beach and Moylan Road.

FHP says a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Front Beach Road, when the car failed to yield as it made a left turn and hit the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle, Rodney Stansell, 52, died from injuries sustained in the accident, while the passenger, Patricia James, 47, suffered critical injuries and was transported to Bay Medical Center in Panama City.
