LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - One person is dead after a single-car crash in Leon County Sunday morning.
Nicholas Carson, 26, of Crawfordville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, on Sunday around 12:44 a.m., Carson was traveling west on US Highway 90.
FHP says Carson's car went off the roadway and when he tried to overcorrect, he lost control of his vehicle, causing him to hit numerous trees.
FHP says Carson was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
According to FHP, Carson was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the accident and it is unknown if alcohol was involved.
