TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - One person has died after crashing their truck into a tree in Tallahasee.
The crash happened Sunday morning on Deer Lake Road at Pegwood way shortly before 10am. Leon County Deputies were called out to the single vehicle crash where they found deceased James Fender.
The 19 year old was the only one in the truck at the time of the incident. After an initial investigation officers say Fender was driving West on Deer Lake Road when, he lost control during a curve in the road. Fender hit a curb and then over corrected hitting a large pine tree. Officers say the crash is still under investigation.
